Pre Construction Manager - Civil Engineering and Commercial Groundworks
West Midlands office location
Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 + package

One of the UK’s best respected Civil Engineering and Groundworks contractors that works on projects ranging from £1m - £10m in value across the country.
The Company enjoys working with blue chip clients and has seen steady growth which is continuing. They have a lot of financial stability from an already mature client base with work available in core civil engineering and groundworks markets across the UK.
Covering civil engineering and groundworks project work including:
- Excavations, Foundations, and Drainage
- Tanks, ponds, etc
- RC and other Concrete works
- Hard and soft landscaping

Pre Construction Manager Requirements:

- Previous experience in a pre-construction, estimating, bid management, quantity surveying or similar role within groundworks, civils or construction.
- Strong understanding of groundworks and civils operations, construction methodologies, sequencing and buildability.
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, scopes and tender documentation and identifying key commercial and delivery considerations.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to understand costs, quotations, allowances, exclusions, risks and opportunities.
- Experience obtaining, analysing and negotiating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ability to develop and communicate practical construction methodologies, tender programmes and delivery proposals.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders, deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies, omissions and potential risks within tender information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence dealing professionally with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
- A proactive, collaborative and commercially minded approach, with a commitment to achieving high standards and supporting the company’s continued growth
