What You'll Be Doing

As a Pre-Planner, you'll be responsible for ensuring customer and business requirements are met in the most professional, cost-effective, and timely manner. You'll be the vital link between customers, operational teams, suppliers, and contractors, helping to keep our quarry operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service for sales enquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and related administration.
  • Plan and coordinate quarry production activities to ensure customer demands are met efficiently.
  • Liaise closely with colleagues, Unit Managers, suppliers, and contractors to support the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Monitor quarry activities and support the effective utilisation of labour, plant, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, Local Management Rules, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements.
  • Maintain accurate records and administrative processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.
  • Participate in training, development programmes, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.

Essential Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
  • Good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and business software.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
