Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Pre Registration Optometrist role based in the United Kingdom. The role involves supporting qualified optometrists in delivering comprehensive eye examinations, performing pre-screening tests, and assisting with diagnostic procedures under supervision.
The Pre Registration Optometrist will help interpret test results, advise on appropriate next steps for patients, and ensure accurate clinical record keeping.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the store team
- Maintaining high standards of patient care
- Following professional guidelines
- Contributing to a welcoming, inclusive environment

Qualifications
- Progress towards or completion of an approved optometry degree and eligibility for pre-registration training in the United Kingdom.
- Strong clinical aptitude, with the ability to perform vision assessments, pre-screening tests, and assist in diagnostic procedures under supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care and clear clinical explanations.
- Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills, including maintaining clinical notes and supporting safe, compliant practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a busy retail and clinical environment, contributing positively to team goals and patient experience.
- Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and adherence to relevant regulatory and professional standards.
- Basic IT proficiency and comfort using clinical and practice management systems.
- Previous experience in an optical, healthcare, or customer service setting is beneficial but not essential.
