About the Role
The Pre-Sales and Client Implementation Manager bridges Sales, Onboarding, Relationship Management, and technical delivery, designing tailored solutions for prospective and existing clients and guiding new clients through a smooth implementation and activation journey. Acting as the primary product and solutions expert for client-facing teams, this role works closely with Risk, Compliance, Product, Legal, Client Operations, and IT to ensure every solution is compliant, clearly understood by the client, and delivered successfully from proposal through to go-live and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Designing Client Solutions
- Partner with Sales and Relationship Management to understand the needs of prospective and existing clients and design tailored solutions.
- Create and track Client solution descriptions from the point of the initial assessment to post implementation adoption.
- Deliver product, service, and solution presentations, acting as the primary subject matter expert for client queries.
- Work with Risk, Compliance, Product, Legal, IT, and other teams to ensure solutions are compliant and fit for purpose.
- Provide activation and post-go-live support during the initial “hypercare” period, coordinating resolution of any issues.
- Gather client feedback during and after implementation to inform continuous improvement.
Client Onboarding & Implementation
- Translate approved commercial proposals into structured implementation roadmaps.
- Support Sales and Relationship Management throughout onboarding, setup, and activation – including client calls, gathering client information, and ensuring clients understand the solution and each stage of the onboarding process.
- Help clients navigate key onboarding milestones, flagging where information or decisions are needed to keep implementation on track.
- Coordinate internal approvals for non-standard client requests, working with relevant teams.
- Develop the agenda for, and participate in, client handover calls to ensure a smooth transition to ongoing account management.
- Oversee end-to-end onboarding, including account setup, technical integration, and sandbox readiness.
- Identify, manage, and escalate implementation risks, bottlenecks, or delays as needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
