Technical Pre-Sales Consultant
£80,000 - £120,000
Remote, ideally Southern UK, with travel to customer sites
We're recruiting on behalf of a UK cyber security technology organisation for a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to join their team.
This is a role for someone who can bridge the gap between sales and engineering. You'll run technical demonstrations, lead proof of concepts, and act as the technical voice in front of customers, from initial discovery through to RFP and RFI response.
You'll be comfortable designing solutions and architectures tailored to a customer's environment, not just presenting a fixed script. You'll own the technical content in bids and proposals, and you'll be trusted to build long term relationships with end users, Government Contractor Primes, and other key stakeholders in the defence and public sector space.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
