Pre-Sales / Solution Engineer – AI & Automation

Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 2–3 days per week in the office)
Salary: Competitive

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Pre-Sales / Solution Engineer to support the sales team in identifying, shaping and presenting AI and automation solutions to enterprise clients.

This is a client-facing role combining technical solution design with commercial engagement. You will work with customers to understand their business challenges, identify opportunities for automation and AI, and translate these into compelling solutions and business cases.

The role is approximately 50% technical/solution focused and 50% commercial/client engagement, making it ideal for someone who is technically credible, commercially minded and confident working with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery workshops to understand customer operations, challenges and business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritise automation, AI and agentic AI use cases.
  • Demonstrate the potential of AI and automation and help clients understand achievable outcomes.
  • Shape high-level solutions using UiPath, RPA, AI and related technologies.
  • Develop business cases and ROI models to demonstrate commercial value.
  • Translate business requirements into solution concepts, high-level architectures and delivery approaches.
  • Support sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations, proposals and the wider sales cycle.
  • Work closely with delivery and technical specialists to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Challenge requirements and recommend practical, commercially viable approaches.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and influence decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
