Pre-Sales Security Specialist (Managed SIEM)

πŸ“ Pocklington (hybrid) | Up to Β£40,000 base + Β£10,000 OT | Cyber Security / Managed Services

Help shape the way we sell security β€” from day one!

We're a fast-growing UK technology and managed services provider that's doubled in size over the last five years β€” and we're just getting started. We deliver managed security services, including our own in-house SOC and managed SIEM offering, to public sector and corporate customers across the UK. As we expand our portfolio and our team, we're looking for a pre-sales specialist to help our salespeople win.

The role

This is an overlay pre-sales role supporting our account managers and sales executives across managed security β€” with our managed SIEM solution, delivered through our own SOC, at the heart of it (and new services on the way). You'll be the technical-commercial bridge that helps turn interest into signed business, working across deals that range from smaller entry-level services right up to multi-year, six-figure tenders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right β€” and where to focus when applying.

It's a team-target role, not an individual number to carry alone β€” you'll be part of a growing function with genuine backing to succeed. This is a new role created through growth, not a backfill.

What you'll bring

  • A pre-sales or inside sales background, ideally with exposure to cyber security β€” or a technical account management profile looking to move into pre-sales
  • Genuine curiosity about cyber security; you don't need to be deeply technical, but you should be keen to learn and build your own product knowledge
  • Bonus points if you've sold a managed SIEM or Sentinel-based service before, or come from a competitor in this space
  • Azure or wider Microsoft stack familiarity is a strong plus
  • An outgoing, relationship-building personality β€” comfortable carrying a team target and confident contributing to tender responses
  • A proactive mindset: someone who gives feedback, shares ideas, and wants to influence how things are done rather than wait to be told
  • Eligibility for SC clearance
