Presales Solution Architect

Roc is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for understanding complex requirements, designing innovative solutions, and commercially packaging offerings that drive business change and efficiency.

As a Solution Architect at Roc, you will be the primary technical authority, supporting multiple industry sectors, guiding customers through significant digital and technical transformations. You will work closely with other Solution Architects and SMEs, ensuring knowledge sharing, solution quality, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Gather functional and non-functional requirements from key customers for projects and programmes.
  • Develop and maintain technical strategies, product roadmaps, and technical risk registers.
  • Analyse customer requirements to identify gaps, risks, and dependencies.
  • Lead workshops and provide technical leadership during pre-sales and solution design phases.
  • Review and assure the quality of Statements of Work, proposals, and tenders.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to delivery teams during the Discovery & Design phases.
  • Act as the Technical Authority in programme governance and service review boards.
  • Build strong customer relationships, presenting solutions with authority to key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with sales, delivery, and vendor partners to align technical strategy and innovation.
  • Drive new opportunities within customer accounts and contribute to commercial assessments.

Requirements:

  • An expert in Enterprise and Solution Architecture with a solid understanding of a wide range of IT and digital technologies.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Technology Stack, Azure Infrastructure, Modern Work, and End User Compute technologies.
  • Knowledgeable about industry trends, security tools, and ITSM/CRM systems.
  • Able to communicate complex solutions clearly, influence senior stakeholders, and lead technical discussions.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-facing role with strong commercial awareness.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in Enterprise or Solution Architecture roles across multiple technologies.
  • Proven track record in solution design, migration, and documentation.
  • Experience with pre-sales, technical account management, and customer requirements gathering.
  • Industry-recognised certifications (Microsoft, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper).
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
