Why this role matters

Cyber security has become a board-level priority for organisations of all sizes. As threats continue to evolve, businesses need trusted advisors who can help them understand risk, identify the right security strategies and invest in solutions that deliver meaningful protection and business value.

This role is about more than designing technical solutions. It's about working closely with customers to understand their security challenges, translating complex requirements into practical recommendations and helping organisations make informed decisions about their cyber security investments.

If you enjoy combining technical expertise, commercial awareness and customer engagement, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact while helping customers strengthen their security posture and resilience.

Mission

This role exists to provide pre-sales leadership and technical expertise across a wide range of cyber security opportunities, supporting customers throughout their buying journey from discovery and consultation through to solution design and proposal creation.

  • Working closely with sales teams, cyber security consultants, delivery specialists and customers, you will help shape solutions that align to business objectives, security requirements and industry best practice.
  • You will play a key role in driving the growth of our Cyber Security business, supporting the development of customer relationships while contributing to the evolution of our security offerings and go-to-market propositions.

What you will deliver within the role

  • You will engage with customers to understand business challenges, technical requirements and security objectives.
  • You will design cyber security solutions that align to customer needs, risk profiles and strategic outcomes.
  • You will provide technical pre-sales support throughout the sales lifecycle, from qualification through to proposal and solution presentation.
  • You will lead customer workshops, discovery sessions and technical discussions to develop solution requirements and recommendations.
  • You will collaborate with sales, consulting and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable and technically robust.
  • You will support the creation of Statements of Work, proposals, scope documentation and technical responses.
  • You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, communicating complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You will maintain a strong understanding of the evolving cyber security landscape, emerging threats and industry best practices.
  • You will work with vendor partners and internal stakeholders to develop compelling security propositions and services.
  • You will contribute to bid responses, tenders and strategic opportunities that support the continued growth of the Cyber Security practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
