Annual base salary rate: £42,146 - £49,584
Summary
Kidde Global Solutions is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Pre-Sales Engineer to provide technical and design support throughout the pre-sales process, including solution development and proposal preparation. This role will be essential to supporting sales growth across the MENA region. In addition, the successful candidate will provide post-sales technical and product support, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and successful implementation of solutions.

Role
The Pre-Sales Engineer will support the growth of Kidde Global Solutions (KGS) products and services across the assigned geographical region. The role will focus on providing technical expertise throughout the sales process, developing customer-focused solutions, and supporting Business Development and commercial teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the MENA Business Development team to recommend, design and quote KGS Commercial Fire solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
- Participate in customer visits and online technical discussions, where required, to help resolve specific technical issues and support the specification of KGS Commercial Fire products and solutions.
- Liaise closely with Business Development, Sales and Product Management teams to develop region-specific solutions.
- Provide regular feedback on customer technical requirements, feedback and complaints, as well as information on competitive products.
- Advise the commercial team on the benefits and technical advantages of KGS products, provide competitive comparisons and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of technical product documentation, test reports, approvals, certifications and other relevant materials.
- Conduct technical customer training, where required, in collaboration with the Commercial and Business Development teams.
- Deliver product overviews and pre-sales presentations to customers and consultants.
- Provide and coordinate after-sales technical support for Business Partners and end users.
- Provide online and telephone technical support to customers, partners and internal teams.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience in the Fire & Life Safety industry, with experience working with EN and UL standards.
- Proven technical and design skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and projects across a wide range of product applications.
- Good understanding of fire detection systems, products and applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and assess customer requirements.
- Proficiency in common business and engineering applications.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

Education & Certifications
- Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
- Equivalent technical education combined with relevant professional experience may also be considered.
