Love turning technical complexity into commercial success? Are you equally comfortable discussing network architecture with engineers as you are presenting business value to senior stakeholders? We're looking for a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to become a key part of our growing Commercial team. This is a highly visible role where you'll act as the bridge between sales, product, technology, and our partners, helping customers understand the value of APFN's products, platform, and network capabilities.

You'll play a critical role in winning new business, onboarding partners, supporting large-scale migrations, and ensuring customers have the technical confidence to choose APFN. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, creating innovative solutions, and influencing commercial outcomes through technical expertise, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working alongside Sales teams to qualify and develop new partner opportunities.
  • Meeting with prospective and existing partners to understand technical and commercial requirements.
  • Designing and presenting tailored solutions that demonstrate the value of APFN's network and products.
  • Acting as the technical lead for bids, tenders, and RFP responses.
  • Delivering engaging product demonstrations of the aquila platform to partners and stakeholders.
  • Supporting the onboarding process to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Producing high-quality technical documentation, solution designs, and network diagrams.
  • Collaborating with Product, Customer Experience, and Technology teams to share partner feedback and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring smooth handovers from sales through to implementation and delivery teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Consultant, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Strong understanding of wholesale telecommunications and connectivity markets.
  • Knowledge of fibre connectivity solutions and network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and internet technologies.
  • Experience explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of APIs, digital platforms, and modern customer onboarding processes.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commercially aware mindset with the ability to understand customer challenges and identify the right solutions.
  • A collaborative approach and passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
  • A full UK driving licence.
