Fenwood House Limited is a family of six day nurseries supporting children and families across Barnsley and Rotherham. Role Description

The Pre School Room Lead is a full-time, on-site role based at our Rawmarsh nursery. This role oversees the day-to-day operation of the preschool room, ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework. Qualifications

  • Strong early years practice skills, including planning, delivering and assessing learning in line with the EYFS
  • Leadership and team coordination skills to guide and support room staff effectively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families and colleagues
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and child wellbeing best practices
  • Organisational and record-keeping skills to manage documentation, observations and reports
  • Relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 or above in Childcare/Early Years) or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a preschool or nursery setting, ideally in a senior or room leader capacity
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Ability to work flexibly within nursery opening hours and follow nursery policies and procedures
