We are looking for a work placement opportunity for a motivated engineering professional within a precast concrete factory.
The main area of responsibility would be reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings and supporting the production team with the setting out and assembly of reinforcement cages.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret reinforcement and construction drawings.
- Assist with setting out reinforcement cages in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Support the production team with cage preparation and assembly.
- Check reinforcement positioning, dimensions, and details for accuracy.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve any drawing or reinforcement queries.
- Gain practical experience within a precast concrete manufacturing environment.
- Follow all relevant quality and health & safety requirements.

Ideal Candidate
- Engineering background with a good understanding of reinforced concrete.
- Strong ability to read and understand reinforcement drawings.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Practical understanding of reinforcement cage preparation and assembly.
- Willing to work closely with factory and production teams.
- Reliable, hardworking, and keen to develop further experience in precast concrete.
