Job Title: Precision Assembly Operative
Location: York
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish times)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Precision Assembly Operative to join a successful and growing organisation based in York. Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in precision assembly, manufacturing, machine operation or a hands-on production environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
Responsibilities Of Precision Assembly Operative
- Assemble products in line with work instructions, production schedules, and quality requirements
- Carry out precision / hand assembly where required
- Operate production and inspection equipment following company procedures and training
- Complete quality checks, visual inspections, and production documentation accurately
- Follow procedures and maintain high manufacturing standards
- Identify and report any issues affecting quality, efficiency, or production output
- Ensure materials are handled correctly to minimize waste
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized working environment
- Support continuous improvement activities and suggest process improvements
- Work closely with colleagues and team leaders to meet production requirements

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, precision assembly, or machine operating environment is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and consistently
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to work with precision
- A practical and technical mindset with a willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow processes, written instructions, and diagrams carefully
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Positive, reliable, and team-focused approach
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
