Join our Wealth Management team

Join our Wealth Management team and enjoy every potential to excel in your career as you grow your portfolio by introducing existing and prospective clients to all the benefits that our new Premier proposition has to offer.

As well as being the primary point of contact for a portfolio of existing mass affluent clients with a net worth of £250k to £750k, you’ll also have a genuine opportunity to truly grow your customer portfolio and secure new business across one of our largest ‘patches’ where there is a lot of untapped client potential.

You will be responsible for supporting your customer portfolio through key life events such as investing for their future, saving for a new home, planning for retirement, or protecting their family for every eventuality. You will also have the chance to work closely with the Wealth Managers undertaking proactive client contact, dealing with client banking queries and work alongside branch colleagues to grow new client opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver a consistent and tailored Relationship & Wealth Management service to a portfolio of HSBC clients, providing banking services within your franchise.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for HSBC, delivering an exceptional customer experience through identifying and fulfilling customer needs at first point of contact.
  • Identifying customer needs by making full use of franchise levels to ensure quality referrals and introductions to colleagues whilst taking ownership of the day-to-day servicing of customer banking needs.
  • Demonstrate autonomy and responsibility when managing the welfare of customers in conjunction with the Wealth Manager.
  • Provide an outstanding customer experience to HSBC clients, achieving the relevant contact standards and enhancing the client-facing time for customers and Wealth Managers.
  • Work seamlessly with your Wealth Manager in the overall achievement of your collective objectives in line with the customer’s channel of choice and focus on developing more meaningful customer relationships whilst improving income generation.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role within financial services, particularly dealing with affluent customers
  • Previous relationship building experience – cultivating trust and long-term client partnerships
  • Experience of identifying wealth needs and referring to appropriate specialists
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – ensuring clear and open communication to establish strong client relationships
  • Track record of strong collaboration skills – Working effectively with internal teams to meet client needs
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
  • Knowledge of financial planning and wealth products would be an advantage but not essential

This role is branch based at St Albans. There will also be travel to other branches in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire or Greater London where you will be required to visit customers at their home or work location. Please note, due to the geographical portfolio locations of our clients within Premier, a driving licence and your own vehicle is required but expenses will be paid when incurred.
