Aureus School Premises Assistant Role
Aureus School is seeking a dedicated, full-time Premises Assistant to join its hardworking team in Didcot. We are looking for a practical, proactive, and reliable individual with a passion for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
Your Opportunity
We are looking for someone who will care for our buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs as well as managing site health & safety compliance checks. The post holder will be expected to liaise effectively with contractors and be willing to attend appropriate training courses. As a key holder, the role will also include security of the school premises including all buildings and contents.
The successful candidate will be expected to respect the need for confidentiality that exists when working in a school environment and will enjoy the rewards of working within a friendly and co-operative team.
What We Are Looking For
- Have good awareness of Health and Safety
- Be able to work to their own initiative
- Be capable of carrying out basic maintenance and DIY tasks
- Have good oral and written communication skills
- Be keen to contribute positively to the life of a school

The Details
- Start Date: September 2026
- Salary: GLF Associate 3.1-3.4 - £26,042 - £26,753 (based on 37.5 hours)
- Contract: Full time, permanent. All year round
- Closing Date: 17th August 2026 at 9.30am
- Interview Date: 19th August 2026
