We are looking for a Premises Assistant to join our Bristol Schools project team. In this important role, you will support the delivery of high-quality services, ensuring operational performance meets contract requirements and Skanska’s business standards. You will help maintain safe, compliant, and well-managed sites, while contributing to a positive customer experience and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the project.

As The Premises Assistant, You Will

  • Deliver high-quality services across the school sites.
  • Support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance in line with the contract PPM plan, SLAs, KPIs, and management direction.
  • Work closely with Lead Engineers to ensure reactive and planned maintenance tasks are completed on time.
  • Take part in the on-call rota and provide cover for absences when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and health and safety requirements, including safe systems of work.
  • Oversee stock and materials to maintain budgets while ensuring parts are available to support service delivery.
  • Help ensure the site has the labour and materials needed to meet contractual obligations.

We Are Looking For

  • Experience delivering facilities management services in a customer-focused environment; good general maintenance and repair skills across a range of site tasks.
  • Experience using building maintenance systems and supporting day-to-day site operations.
  • Well organised, flexible, and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Physically capable of carrying out manual and demanding tasks safely and effectively.
  • Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and COSHH requirements.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
  • Ability to obtain Enhanced DBS.
