About the Role
Heron Cross Primary School is a creative and joyful primary school where children are at the centre of all that we do. We are seeking an enthusiastic Premises Manager to play a vital role in ensuring our thriving primary school remains a safe, secure, and inspiring place for children, staff, and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, takes initiative, and wants to make a real difference in our school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the security of the school site, including opening and closing procedures.
- Carrying out routine inspections, maintenance, repairs, and health and safety checks.
- Coordinating contractors and overseeing planned maintenance works.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety, fire safety, and statutory regulations.
- Maintaining school grounds and outdoor learning environments to a high standard.
- Managing site-related budgets, supplies, and equipment.
- Supporting school events and activities as required.
- Responding promptly to site emergencies and maintenance issues.

About You
- School-based experience is not essential; applicants with transferable premises or facilities management experience are encouraged to apply.

Job Details
- Hours: 37 hours per week, whole year
- Starting salary: £28,598 per annum (pay award pending)
