Premium Processing Technician (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Premium Processing Technician to join our team on a six-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate processing of insurance premiums, reconciliations, and insurer accounting, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently and in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process insurance premium transactions accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Reconcile insurer statements and resolve outstanding queries.
  • Allocate receipts and payments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and audit trails.
  • Liaise with brokers, insurers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support month-end activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and FCA requirements.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous premium processing or insurance finance experience.
  • Experience working within an insurance broker, insurer, or MGA.
  • Experience using Xchanging.
  • Good understanding of premium accounting and reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
