Contract: Permanent
DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
Normal working hours will be 09:00hrs to 18:00hrs, Monday to Friday (inclusive), including one-hour unpaid lunch on each day worked; making a total of 40 working hours per week.
KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE
To support the Head of Premium Seating in delivering MCC’s Hospitality sales strategy, with responsibility for driving the sale of Hospitality and Premium Seating products and supporting their successful delivery.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Leading the sale of Hospitality products across multiple channels, ensuring sales targets are achieved
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive outreach
- Maximising up-selling opportunities and driving growth across portfolio of products
- Working alongside the Marketing Department, planning and implementing successful sales and marketing campaigns
- Developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Hospitality and Premium Seating products
- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of competitor venues
TEAM MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
- Management of the Premium Seating Sales Executives to achieve targets and KPIs
- Leading on annual appraisals of the Premium Seating Sales Executives
- Assisting in the development of the Premium Seating Sales Executives, including building proactive sales skills and mindsets
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT AND RETENTION
- Leading key accounts and client relationships, including for our Agency partners
- Visiting clients on matchdays
- Maximising opportunities to retain, develop and grow existing client relationships
- Attendance at client events and networking events, including evenings and weekends, as required

REPORTING, PERFORMANCE AND BUDGETING
- Delivery against budgets and KPIs for Hospitality sales
- Leading on weekly, monthly and annual reporting, tracking progress against KPIs and budget
- Ensuring consistent and effective use of the Club’s CRM platform to support accurate reporting, pipeline management and client relationship management
HOSPITALITY DELIVERY AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL WORKING
- Liaising with the Operations Department on the delivery of Hospitality bookings
- Supporting the Head of Premium Seating in the execution of Premium Seating and Hospitality-related events
- Working collaboratively with relevant departments across MCC to support the successful sale and delivery of Hospitality and Premium Seating products

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS – SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous hospitality sales experience including experience in delivering proactive outbound sales
- Knowledge of, and an interest in, cricket
- Excellent written and oral skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with a broad range of internal and external customers, adapting style and approach as and when required
- Customer focused
- Excellent IT skills including a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft applications
- High standard of personal presentation
- High standard of spoken and written English
- Able to use own initiative and be proactive; helping to create and implement new ideas
- Flexible approach to working hours including weekend working during the busy cricket season
- The ability to work quickly under pressure, maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail
