Prep Technician

Salary
We are offering a basic salary up to £36,440, dependent on skills and experience, plus an over-performance bonus opportunity. We are also offering a sign on bonus of £1,500 in month 1 and £1,500 in month 13.
The Role
As a Prep Technician, you will be responsible for preparing new and used vehicles for sale, ensuring they meet manufacturer and Vertu Motors standards before handover to our customers.
Your role is crucial in delivering an outstanding customer experience built on trust, quality workmanship, and first-time fixes.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles
- Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer guidelines and within agreed timeframes
- Maintaining high productivity while never compromising on quality
- Supporting a culture of exceptional customer service and attention to detail
- Taking pride in delivering vehicles right first time, every time

What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Level 3 qualification in Automotive (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- Current experience as a Vehicle or Prep Technician
- MOT Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Your own set of tools
- A full UK driving licence
