Presales Consultant – IoT Connectivity

A Global IoT Connectivity Provider | Glasgow HQ (open to UK-wide / remote) | Full-time

About the Role

Our client is a global IoT connectivity provider, enabling businesses to deploy, connect, secure and manage IoT devices at scale. Through market-leading eSIM/eUICC technology, they give customers access to 600+ networks across 150+ countries via a single IoT SIM, combining cellular connectivity with device lifecycle management on one platform. The business works with ambitious companies across energy, e-mobility, manufacturing, transportation, retail and healthcare to help them deploy faster, reduce cost and simplify operations.

We're looking for a Presales Consultant to sit between the sales and technical teams — someone who can quickly get under the skin of a customer's connectivity challenge, translate the platform into a solution that solves it, and support the sales team through the technical stages of the deal cycle. This is a great opportunity for someone from an IoT, M2M or mobile/connected devices background who wants to move closer to the commercial side of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, owning the technical narrative from discovery through to close
  • Translate customer requirements into tailored connectivity and device management solutions
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and proof-of-concept work for prospective customers
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs and technical questionnaires with accurate, compelling technical input
  • Work with multi-carrier cellular connectivity (3G/4G/5G, LTE-M, NB-IoT, Cat-M) and eSIM/eUICC concepts to answer customer questions with credibility
  • Act as the technical point of contact during pilots and early-stage deployments, handing over cleanly to delivery/customer success
  • Stay current on IoT connectivity trends (2G/3G sunsetting, 5G, eSIM adoption, connectivity management platforms) to keep the sales team's positioning sharp
  • Feed customer and market insight back into product and marketing teams

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
