Pre-Sales Consultant (ERP)
Location: United Kingdom (Fully Remote)
Salary: From £45,000 (Open depending on experience)
Start Date: Flexible
About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading ERP software provider for an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant to join their growing Solutions Consulting team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong ERP background who enjoys working closely with prospective customers, understanding business requirements, and demonstrating how technology can solve complex business challenges. The role is predominantly fully remote; however, successful candidates may be required to attend onsite during the initial onboarding and training period.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations tailored to customer requirements.
- Work alongside the sales team throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, providing functional and technical expertise.
- Conduct discovery workshops to understand customer business processes and requirements.
- Design and present solution proposals aligned with customer objectives.
- Respond to technical and functional queries during the sales process.
- Support tender responses, proof-of-concept activities, and customer presentations.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with product developments and wider ERP market trends.

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience working in an ERP Pre-Sales, Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer, or similar customer-facing ERP role.
- Previous experience working with one or more ERP platforms, such as Sage Intacct, Sage X3, Sage 200, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Oracle NetSuite, SAP Business One, SAP Business ByDesign, Odoo, Acumatica, Infor, Epicor, IFS, Unit4 or SYSPRO.
- Experience delivering software demonstrations and presenting ERP solutions to prospective clients.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A consultative approach with excellent requirements gathering and solution design capabilities.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate business challenges into effective ERP solutions.
Desirable
- Previous experience within Finance, Accounting, Financial Systems, or ERP Consulting.
- Background implementing or supporting ERP solutions.
- Experience working with Finance Directors, CFOs, Controllers, or senior finance stakeholders.
- Exposure to cloud-based ERP platforms.

Candidate Profile
We're looking for someone who enjoys combining commercial awareness with technical expertise and is passionate about helping organisations identify the right ERP solutions for their business. The ideal candidate will have previous ERP pre-sales experience and would ideally come from a finance or financial systems background, enabling them to confidently engage with finance stakeholders and understand their operational challenges. Whether your experience has been gained within Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Sage, Odoo, Acumatica, Infor, Epicor, IFS, Unit4, SYSPRO, or another leading ERP platform, we'd be keen to hear from you if you have a proven track record in ERP pre-sales and solution consulting.
