Role Overview
The Business consulting & presales - SME & Commercial Lending will play a critical role in supporting sales and business development initiatives for SME/Commercial Lending solutions. The role is responsible for managing pursuits end to end including - demos, RFx, conducting client discovery workshops, delivering product demonstrations, supporting Proof of Concepts (POCs), and providing solution consulting across the commercial lending lifecycle.
The role requires close association with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Delivery teams to articulate business value, address client requirements, and position the organization as a trusted transformation partner for commercial lending modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities

RFX Management
- Analyze and respond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) related to Commercial Lending solutions.
- Collaborate with product, consulting, and solution teams to develop compelling and customized responses.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission timelines.
- Support proposal reviews, presentations, and bid defense activities.

Demo Environment Management
- Configure, maintain, and enhance demo environments for Commercial Lending solutions.
- Ensure that demo environments are aligned with the latest product features and releases.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize demonstration setups.
- Create reusable demo assets, scripts, and accelerators to improve efficiency and consistency.

Customer Presentations & Demonstrations
- Deliver impactful product presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients and stakeholders.
- Articulate key business benefits, differentiators, and technology capabilities.
- Tailor demonstrations to address client-specific business challenges and transformation objectives.

Solution Consulting
- Possess deep domain expertise across the end-to-end Commercial Lending lifecycle.
- Understand customer business processes, challenges, and strategic priorities.
- Map client requirements for product capabilities and solution architectures.
- Provide functional and technical consulting throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
- Partner with sales teams to develop winning solution strategies and value propositions.

Cross-Regional Support
- Primarily support opportunities across the European market while collaborating with global teams on strategic pursuits.
- Adapt presentations and solution approaches to meet country-specific regulatory, market, and operational requirements.

Collaboration & Knowledge Management
- Work with product management to stay updated on new features and roadmap.
- Maintain a repository of reusable RFP/RFI responses and demo scripts.
- Contribute to thought leadership and domain collateral within the Commercial Lending practice.
Work Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Lending, Lending Technology, Business Analysis, Solution Consulting, or Pre-Sales roles.
- Proven experience supporting transformation programs involving lending platforms or core banking applications.
Functional Expertise
Strong understanding of the complete Commercial Lending lifecycle, including:
- Customer Acquisition & Onboarding
- Loan Origination
- Limit & Collateral
- Loan Servicing
- Covenant Monitoring
- Impairment Management
- Regulatory Reporting
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements applicable to Commercial Lending, particularly those issued by:
- European Central Bank (ECB)
- Bank of England (BoE)
- EBA Guidelines
- IFRS 9
