Head of Pre-Sales – CFO SaaS

Location: United Kingdom – Hybrid
Salary: £140,000 base + bonus + benefits

I'm working with a fast-growing FinTech business that is transforming how companies access and manage financial services through innovative payment and embedded finance solutions. Following significant growth across Europe, they are looking to hire a Head of Pre-Sales to lead and scale their global Solutions Consulting function.

This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced pre-sales professional who enjoys building teams, developing go-to-market strategy, and partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive commercial success.

The Role

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Pre-Sales / Solutions Consultants, with responsibility for future team growth and scaling
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive revenue performance across mid-market and enterprise opportunities
  • Own the pre-sales strategy, ensuring the function is aligned with business objectives and growth targets
  • Support complex customer engagements, executive presentations, workshops, and strategic enterprise opportunities
  • Build and optimise pre-sales processes, methodologies, and best practices across the organisations
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer feedback influences product development and go-to-market execution
  • Develop scalable enablement programmes, technical content, and value-based selling frameworks
  • Act as a key stakeholder in strategic deals, helping customers understand the value and impact of the platform
  • Drive operational excellence through forecasting, resource planning, and performance management

About You

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing Pre-Sales, Solutions Consulting, or Sales Engineering teams
  • Track record managing global or multi-region teams within Financial Software
  • Strong understanding of complex B2B software sales cycles and enterprise buying processes
  • Experience partnering with Sales leadership to influence revenue outcomes and strategic account growth
  • Ability to engage confidently with C-level stakeholders including CFOs, COOs, CIOs, Heads of Payments, and Finance leaders
  • Demonstrated success scaling teams, implementing processes, and driving organisational maturity
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical credibility and business values
  • Experience within payments, embedded finance, banking technology, financial infrastructure, or adjacent FinTech markets is highly desirable
  • Passion for coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams.
