Pre-Sales Engineer

Salary:
£100,000 – £115,000 base + bonus

Location:
London – Hybrid

Work Type:
Permanent

Role

We’re working with a fast-growing technology business operating at the intersection of communications, compliance and financial services.

The business is entering an exciting stage of its growth journey. Its partner ecosystem is developing rapidly, the qualified pipeline has more than doubled over recent months, and it is now investing in the commercial team needed to support increasingly large and complex opportunities.

As Pre-Sales Engineer, you’ll become the technical bridge between the business, its strategic partners and major financial-services customers.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of complex enterprise sales but is equally comfortable sitting in front of customers, understanding their challenges and translating technology into clear business value.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical side of complex enterprise sales opportunities
  • Work closely with Sales and strategic channel partners throughout the sales cycle
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and understand customer requirements
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations and support proof-of-concept activity
  • Explain technical architecture clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support partners in positioning the solution effectively with their customers
  • Work across stakeholders including Technology, Compliance, Operations and senior commercial teams
  • Help the commercial organisation become increasingly self-sufficient as the business scales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why should I apply?

You’ll be joining at a point where the opportunity is already there, but the commercial organisation is still being built.

Rather than stepping into a mature Pre-Sales function with rigid processes, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how Pre-Sales operates and become a key part of some of the company's most strategically important customer and partner opportunities.

You’ll work alongside an experienced commercial leadership team, engage with major financial-services organisations and strategic partners, and have genuine visibility and influence as the business moves through its next phase of growth.
