We're on a mission to be a Force For Good, through our People, Products and Purpose at Nuix. This extends to our People. We're fiercely passionate, love working at pace, thrive in ambiguity, live, and breathe outside of the box, and above all are good humans. We are a Force For Good. We're selective about who comes on board, and you should be too. But if the above sounds like a match, get in touch today and get ready for the possibility of starting a once-in-a-career journey.
About the Role
The Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) is a technically hands-on individual contributor who works in close partnership with the Sales Executive and channel partners to win new business across Nuix's enterprise data intelligence, investigative analytics and eDiscovery portfolio. The PSE is the primary technical authority through the sales cycle, responsible for understanding customer requirements with precision, articulating the value of Nuix solutions to both technical and executive audiences, and converting that understanding into compelling demonstrations and structured proof of concept (POC) engagements.
This role sits within the Global Go-to-Market function and operates across the AMER, APAC and EMEA regions. The PSE plays a direct role in revenue outcomes by ensuring prospects receive a rigorous, well-scoped technical evaluation that builds confidence in Nuix and accelerates the path to commercial close. Success in this role requires equal command of the technical depth of Nuix's platform and the business challenges facing customers in legal, regulatory, investigative and compliance environments.
Location
This position will be based in our London (Holborn) office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the London office for the remaining days of the week.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with prospective customers to identify and validate requirements. Conduct structured discovery sessions that produce a clear, documented understanding of the customer's environment, pain points and success criteria before any demonstration or evaluation begins.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect Nuix capabilities to specific customer use cases. Prepare and present scenario-based demonstrations aligned to each prospect's data challenges, ensuring both technical and business stakeholders can evaluate fit with confidence.
- Own the end-to-end planning, execution and reporting of proof of concept engagements. Define scoped POC plans with agreed success criteria, configure the environment to match customer requirements, manage the evaluation to schedule and deliver a clear outcome readout.
- Prepare and contribute technically rigorous responses to RFPs, RFIs and tender submissions. Author the technical sections of formal tender responses, ensuring accuracy, completeness and alignment between proposed scope and Nuix's demonstrable capability.
- Maintain pre-sale scoping accuracy to protect delivery outcomes and commercial commitments. Produce implementation assumptions and prerequisite documentation during the sales cycle that accurately reflect what post-sale delivery will require, reducing scope variance after contract.
- Act as a feedback conduit between market and product by capturing and communicating technical intelligence. Log competitive observations, product gaps and customer use case patterns from the field into internal channels so that Product and GTM teams can act on validated market signal.
Must haves
- Demonstrated experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering or technical sales support role within enterprise software. A minimum of three to five years working customer-facing in a complex B2B software environment, with direct accountability for technical evaluations or POC delivery.
- Technical proficiency with data-intensive platforms, covering data processing, analytics, forensics or eDiscovery domains. Able to configure, operate and troubleshoot the Nuix platform or comparable enterprise data intelligence tools in a live evaluation environment without external support.
- Ability to translate complex technical capability into clear value narratives for diverse stakeholders. Equally comfortable presenting architecture and data workflow detail to a technical team and communicating investigative or compliance outcomes to a legal or executive audience.
- Disciplined approach to scoping, documentation and CRM hygiene throughout the sales cycle. Consistently produces structured discovery summaries, POC plans and scope documentation, and maintains accurate opportunity records in the CRM to support forecasting and handover.
