About the Role
Retail doesn’t stand still—and neither does GK. As a Solution Consultant, you’ll drive how the world’s leading retailers discover, understand, and choose our solutions. Partnering closely with the Sales team, you’ll work with Europe’s largest grocery, fashion, and general-merchandise retailers, validating technical fit across our unified-commerce suite, including:
- POS solutions
- Edge and cloud store solutions
- Payments
- Promotions
Your mission: translate complex retail technology into clear, compelling value—with no regional boundaries.
This role is for someone who loves both retail and technology, balances deep technical expertise with outstanding communication, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team where curiosity and problem-solving matter as much as expertise.
You’ll report directly to the VP/Head of Pre-Sales, joining our EMEA team (based in Germany, UK, or anywhere in Europe).

Responsibilities
- Lead customer engagements (demos, presentations) for the GK Product Suite, including new and existing clients.
- Develop technical solution designs and craft persuasive, tailored proposals and presentations for each customer.
- Partner closely with Sales to deliver technical expertise and compelling storytelling that builds trust and secures deals.
- Capture and document customer requirements, feeding insights back to shape product feature requests.
- Support RFI/RFP processes to ensure high-quality functional and technical proposals throughout the sales cycle.
- Conduct and support Proofs of Concepts (PoCs).
- Create clear technical documentation (Confluence, Jira, Teams channels, etc.).
- Collaborate with Product teams, translating real-world customer needs into the roadmap.
- Work seamlessly with Sales, Product, and Professional Services.
Requirements
Essential
- Insightful retail technology expertise — a deep understanding of retail operations and the technology powering them. You may come from:
- An IT or business-informatics background
- Hands-on experience in a retail IT organization
- Proven presales/consulting experience in retail or IT, bringing immediate value to the role.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills:
- Ability to hold a room, explain complexity simply, and listen actively.
- Strong organizational and storytelling abilities to win trust and deliver clarity.
- "I’ll figure it out" mentality — driven to solve problems, solve challenges, and maximize every opportunity.
- Team-first mindset — you lift others up and collaborate as a unified team.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) due to our global customer base.
- German proficiency is a bonus but not required.
