The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Lead Solutions Consultant / Solutions Architect to join a growing UK connectivity and network services business.

This is a senior customer-facing pre-sales role responsible for translating complex customer requirements into technically robust and commercially viable solutions across enterprise connectivity, networking, and managed services.

Alongside supporting live sales opportunities, you will have the opportunity to help build and shape the organisation's future Solutions Architecture capability, developing the processes, methodologies, governance, and design standards required to support continued growth.

The role is particularly suited to someone who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and enjoys working directly with customers, sales teams, and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer discovery workshops and technical qualification activities.
  • Design enterprise connectivity and network solutions aligned with customer business and technical requirements.
  • Support opportunities from initial qualification and solution design through proposal, commercialisation, and contract signature.
  • Design solutions across both owned network infrastructure and third-party/partner networks.
  • Support solutions incorporating DIA, Ethernet, optical connectivity, SD-WAN/SASE, cybersecurity, cloud connectivity, and managed services.
  • Identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and wider account development through consultative customer engagement.
  • Support technical proposals, commercial modelling, tenders, bid responses, and customer presentations.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Network Engineering, Commercial, Customer Experience, and Delivery teams.
  • Ensure solutions are appropriately qualified and documented before operational handover.
  • Develop repeatable pre-sales processes covering qualification, solution design, governance, and delivery handover.
  • Create and maintain solution templates, reference architectures, design standards, and best-practice frameworks.
  • Work with technology vendors, carriers, and strategic partners where additional capability is required.
  • Provide customer and market feedback to help influence future product, service, and network investment decisions.
  • Act as a trusted technical and commercial advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Help establish a scalable Solutions Architecture function, with the potential to mentor and support future team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

You will be a commercially minded and customer-focused technology professional who enjoys solving complex business problems.

You should be comfortable challenging customer requirements, identifying needs that may not initially be obvious, and translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable working within a growing environment where not every process or framework already exists. You will have the opportunity to introduce best practice, improve ways of working, and play a significant role in shaping how the Solutions Architecture function develops.

You will ideally be:

  • Commercially minded and outcome focused.
  • Curious, pragmatic, and solutions oriented.
  • Confident communicating with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating within ambiguity.
  • Proactive and ownership driven.
  • Able to influence technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Passionate about customer growth and solution-led selling.
  • Comfortable identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Interested in building processes and capabilities rather than simply following established ones.

This is an opportunity to combine hands-on customer solution design with genuine influence over the development of a growing Solutions Architecture function.
