About the Role
As Manager, Field Engineering (Data and AI), you will lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focused on high-impact, strategic accounts within the Energy and Resources sector. Your role will drive accelerated adoption of our platform in the UK&I region, partnering with sales teams to deliver significant revenue growth while nurturing a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
You will:
- Develop and nurture pre-sales Solutions Architect talent
- Scale the team efficiently while upholding quality standards
- Champion AI-driven efficiency within your team
- Build leveraging trust with key stakeholders to fast-track customer projects

- Manage hiring, onboarding, and building England’s Pre-Sales Solutions Architect team
- Rapidly scale designated teams without compromising execution quality
- Instantánály drive efficiency and scale using AI internally

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
- Maximize site consumption revenue by elevating Solutions Architect involvement
- Adopt solution-and-value-first sales methodology
- Deep understanding of regional loads and revenue potential
- Represent Databricks’ brand in UK&I, collaborating closely with Marketing and Sales

- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage directly with strategic account contacts to navigate complexity and accelerate implementation decisions
- Contribute to process improvements to align with business and technical growth

What We Look For
** Mandatory Requirements **
- AI & Automation Savvy: An “AI-native builder mentality” — expecting AI to drive personal and team productivity is a non-negotiable
- Leadership in Pre-Sales: Proven experience developing, managing, and scaling sales and pre-sales teams within Big Data / AI / Cloud settings
- Deep Sector Expertise: Extensive background in customer-facing roles, large corporate accounts, and commercial strategies within Energy, Resources, or Utilities in UK & Ireland
- Success in Strategic Accounts: Focused experience closing multi-faceted, complex sales cycles
- Scaling & Mentorship: Track record of scaling and guiding field and technical teams
- Technical & Business Savvy: Deep knowledge of data-driven and AI-driven software models
