Solutions Specialist (Presales) | Public Safety Resource Management

Take your Public Safety experience in a new direction.

Totalmobile is entering an exciting new chapter.

As a UK leader in Field Service Management technology, Totalmobile helps organisations with complex workforces transform the way they plan, manage and deliver vital services. Now, following our merger with Solvares Group, we're combining Totalmobile's Field First platform with Solvares' expertise in workforce scheduling, planning and optimisation to create an international leader in Field Service Management.

Together, we're a business of more than 800 people supporting over 4,000 customers across Europe, the UK and Australasia, with customers spanning emergency services, health and social care, housing, infrastructure, telecommunications and other essential service sectors.

And as we grow, we're looking for people who understand the challenges our customers are trying to solve.

That's where you come in.

You understand what happens when demand exceeds available resources.

You've dealt with competing priorities, operational pressures and difficult deployment decisions. You know that good workforce planning isn't simply about filling a roster. It can have a direct impact on operational outcomes.

We're looking for a Solutions Specialist to use that experience to help police forces and emergency services improve the way they plan, deploy and manage their people through technology.

And the important bit?

While an advantage, you don't need previous Presales experience.

We're much more interested in your operational knowledge, credibility and ability to understand the challenges our customers face.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Your experience could come from:

  • Policing
  • Ambulance, Fire & Rescue or wider Emergency Services
  • Workforce Planning or Duty Management
  • Rostering, Scheduling or Resource Management
  • GRS or similar workforce management solutions
  • Consulting, implementation or technology roles within Public Safety

You might already work in software or consulting. Or you might currently be sitting within an operational team and have never considered a move into Presales.

Either way, we'd like to hear from you.

What will you do?

You'll work directly with police and emergency service organisations to understand their challenges and show how technology can help them work differently.

You'll:

  • Understand operational and workforce management challenges
  • Run discovery workshops and customer conversations
  • Deliver engaging software demonstrations
  • Translate complex requirements into practical solution stories
  • Support bids, proposals and major transformation programmes
  • Work alongside Sales, Product, Delivery and Commercial teams to shape credible solutions

Most importantly, you'll bring real operational insight into every customer engagement.

What makes someone successful?

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong workforce planning or resource management experience
  • Credibility when talking to Public Safety organisations
  • Confidence engaging with operational teams and senior stakeholders
  • Curiosity, problem-solving ability and strong communication skills
  • The ability to take complex operational challenges and make them easy to understand

Technical expertise is helpful, but it's not the deciding factor.

We can help you develop your software, demonstration and Presales skills.

What is much harder to teach is genuine operational understanding.

Why make the move?

This is an opportunity to take everything you've learned in workforce planning, resource management or Public Safety and apply it on a much bigger stage.

You'll use your experience to influence how police forces and emergency services approach some of their most complex workforce challenges, while building new skills in software, consulting and Presales.

And you'll be joining Totalmobile at a significant point in our growth, as our combination with Solvares strengthens our international scale and capabilities across Field Service Management and workforce optimisation.

You'll also join a structured career framework, with opportunities to develop into senior specialist, strategic and leadership roles.

Ready for a new challenge?

If you're passionate about workforce planning, resource management and operational excellence within Public Safety, but you're ready to apply that expertise in a completely new way, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to be a Presales expert.

You need to understand the problem. We'll help you learn how to demonstrate the solution.

Here at Totalmobile, we want our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work. We are committed to an inclusive workforce that fully represents many different cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints. We are dedicated to supporting inclusion and diversity at Totalmobile. We actively celebrate colleagues’ different abilities, sexual orientation, ethnicity, faith, and gender. Everyone is welcome and supported in their development at all stages in their journey with us.
