About Us

We are a managed network services company helping organisations build, secure and operate reliable, high-performing networks. Our services span managed connectivity, LAN and Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, network security, cloud networking, monitoring, and ongoing technical support.

We combine strong technical capability with straightforward, responsive service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant who can understand a customer’s challenges, shape the right solution, and explain it clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Summary

The Technical Pre-Sales Consultant will provide technical expertise throughout the sales process, from initial discovery and solution design through to proposal, presentation, and handover into delivery.

Working closely with customers, account managers, service delivery teams, engineers, and technology partners, you will translate business requirements into practical, commercially sound managed network solutions.

You will help us win the right business by ensuring each proposed solution is technically robust, deliverable, and aligned with the customer’s needs.

This role would suit someone who enjoys combining networking expertise with customer engagement and commercial thinking. You will be comfortable getting into the technical detail, while also making that detail understandable without disappearing into a fog of acronyms.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customers’ business objectives, current environments, requirements, risks, and constraints.
  • Design managed network solutions covering WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, internet connectivity, network security, resilience, and monitoring.
  • Produce clear solution designs, network diagrams, scopes of work, bills of materials, and technical proposal content.
  • Work with sales colleagues to develop compelling, accurate, and commercially viable customer proposals.
  • Present and demonstrate proposed solutions to technical teams, senior stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Respond to the technical elements of tenders, requests for proposal, and customer questionnaires.
  • Review customer environments and support site surveys, audits, and technical assessments where appropriate.
  • Liaise with vendors, carriers, and distribution partners to validate designs, pricing, licensing, and lead times.
  • Ensure proposed solutions meet relevant security, compliance, performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
  • Identify assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, and technical risks early in the sales process.
  • Support proof-of-concept activity, customer workshops, and demonstrations where required.
  • Maintain accurate technical records and sales documentation within agreed systems and processes.
  • Provide a thorough handover to project, service delivery, and operational teams following a successful sale.
  • Keep up to date with networking technologies, vendor roadmaps, and emerging customer needs.
  • Contribute to standard service propositions, reusable designs, and pre-sales best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
