Preservation Surveyor – Edinburgh
Due to the growth of the preservation industry and a shortage of qualified surveyors, we are now welcoming applications from related industries. If you have experience in face-to-face sales and have worked in areas such as windows and doors, insulation, roofing, ventilation, or other home improvement services, we’d love to hear from you. Due to continuing contract wins we are looking to expand our surveying capacity in Edinburgh with the addition of a Preservation surveyor.
Job Details
- Position: Full Time/Permanent
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 17:00pm & Friday, 08:00am to 16:00pm.
- Salary: Competitive
Job Description
- Carry out surveys in domestic, commercial & social housing properties
- Compile detailed comprehensive reports and accurate quotations
- Develop new and retain existing client base
- Promoting and selling of company products and services
- Day to day contact with team members, including mentoring trainee staff.
Knowledge, Experience & Requirements

- Sales experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- CSTDB – Certified Surveyor of Timber and Damp in Buildings
- Motivated and passionate about delivering high levels of service to our current and potential clients
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
