Press Brake & Guillotine Operator
Location: Pontefract, WF9
Pay Rate: Up to £17.38 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role
Winner Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake & Guillotine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Pontefract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sheet metal operator to join a skilled Prep Team, working with a range of metalworking machinery to prepare components for fabrication and painting.
Responsibilities
- Operating guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma cutter, and bandsaw machinery.
- Reading and interpreting 2D technical drawings and sketches.
- Calculating cut sizes and dimensions from drawings.
- Setting up and adjusting machinery to meet production requirements.
- Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
- Preparing sheet metal and components for fabrication and painting.
- Carrying out quality checks on finished components.
- Completing production paperwork and records.
- Performing routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Following company health and safety procedures and wearing the correct PPE.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience operating a Press Brake and Guillotine.
- Experience with CNC Plasma or Bandsaw machinery would be advantageous.
- The ability to read and understand 2D technical drawings.
- Previous experience within sheet metal fabrication or a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves standing, lifting, and handling materials.
Shift Patterns

Days:
- Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
Afters:
- Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:30am
The Afters shift includes a 20% shift allowance.
