Press Brake Setter / Operator
Location: Nottingham
Job type: Permanent
Pay: A GBP 14 - A GBP 16 per hour (dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced Press Brake Setter / Operator looking to join a well-established business? We are recruiting on behalf of a successful manufacturer seeking a skilled individual to join their fabrication team on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC press brake machinery to manufacture precision sheet metal components. Working from engineering drawings, you'll ensure parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each production run
- Carry out first off inspections and in-process quality checks
- Use measuring equipment including verniers, rulers, and angle gauges to inspect finished parts
- Make machine adjustments where required to maintain accuracy and quality
- Work to production schedules while achieving productivity targets
- Report any quality concern, tooling issues, or machine faults

About You
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC press brake machines
- A strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience selecting tooling and adjusting machine settings
- Confidence producing components to tight tolerances
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, or similar press brake machinery, counterbalance forklift license, overhead crane, or lifting equipment experience, or a background in fabrication or precision engineering would be highly advantageous
