Drive proactive and reactive media relations, including crisis communications.
Build relationships with journalists, broadcasters and key stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to influence public debate and support organisational objectives.
Oversee communications activity across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Monitor performance and use insight to optimise communications and campaign activity.
Support senior leadership with strategic communications advice and reputation management.
Profile
- Significant experience as a journalist and media relations professional.
- Proven track record leading a high-performing press office function.
- Strong people management experience, including line management and coaching.
- Excellent understanding of the UK media landscape, including devolved nations.
- Experience developing and delivering proactive and reactive media campaigns.
- Skilled at handling high-profile, sensitive and crisis communications issues.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with journalists and senior leaders.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.

Job Offer
- Salary range of £51,000 to £58,000 per year, dependent on the level of experience.
- Permanent position based in London
- 2 days a week in London
