Can you help us build and protect Uniper's reputation in the UK? We're looking for an excellent communicator to join our team; helping to manage our external communications as part of our press office team.

Your responsibilities
- You will work with the UK Communications Manager and Senior Press Officer, to support the implementation of a proactive communication plan to support UK business activity and projects – working with the Project Comms team and Uniper stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate messaging for the national, local and regional media, and social media.
- Become our website expert and maintain and manage the UK pages of the Uniper website, working in conjunction with the Project Comms team and our central Social Media, and website team.
- Publish press releases via Press Page and maintain media lists in the background.
- Manage the Press Office mailbox, and relevant general enquires, ensuring that non-media enquiries are directed to the appropriate part of the business.
- Maintain master lists of media for Uniper in the UK.
- Respond to media queries by phone or from the press office mailbox as appropriate, using our approved lines to take and as aligned with the UK Communications Manager Maintain log of media contact and response given in Press Page.
- Working with the Senior Press Officer, to support media activity in relation to any site, project or business activity.
- Provide out-of-hours support, as necessary (for example: to support crisis communications).

Your profile
Essential:
- Demonstratable press office experience including strategic planning and execution skills.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal - with good attention to detail and the ability to translate and communicate complex information.
- Experience of maintaining and updating website pages, using approved text. Able to confidently work independently and rely on own initiative, drawing on own PR experience.
- Excellent relationship building skills, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure and to manage change diplomatically.
- Proven ability to manage concurrent deadlines and priorities.
- Exceptional team player.
Desirable:
- Energy industry and/or Utility experience desired.
- Experience of working within a matrix organisation.
- Issue or crisis management experience.
