Greenhouse Press Officer Opportunity
Greenhouse is an award-winning communications agency with a mission to power positive social and environmental change. We’re not like other agencies – our purpose is to have a positive impact on the world. We’re a mission-driven business and our clients work in sectors where we can have the biggest impact on the transition to net-zero and beyond; from energy and clean tech to nature and conservation, from food and health to finance and transport.
We are looking for an experienced Press Officer to join our team on a full-time permanent contract. This hands-on role will be dedicated to media relations for one of our largest and most influential retained clients. This is a rare opportunity to work in world-leading climate science, helping communicate clear data and evidence to global audiences at a time when climate action has never mattered more.
The successful candidate will confidently lead the delivery of a fast-paced global press office, with a successful track record of balancing excellent client service, strong media engagement, and project management.
Working daily with international journalists, scientists, and senior leaders to drive media impact, you’ll manage multiple opportunities at once, respond quickly to inbound requests and urgent media moments, and stay on top of stories and trends. You will also support media delivery for regular milestones, from monthly press releases to globally significant flagship reports. You’ll combine strong judgement, meticulous attention to detail, and creativity with the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging messages.
Key Responsibilities
Press Office & Media Relations
- Manage day-to-day inbound press enquiries and coordinate timely, accurate responses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and key client contacts.
- Develop trusted relationships with the client’s communications team, key stakeholders, and spokespeople, helping communicate their work effectively and accurately.
- Distribute press releases, pitches, statements, briefings, and other media materials.
- Maintain and develop a comprehensive media database, ensuring contacts are up to date and enquiries are accurately logged in a timely manner.
- Proactively offer feedback and guidance to spokespeople to support ongoing improvement.
- Build and maintain internal databases of commentary, data, insights, and information for rapid future use.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
