Job Description
Press Operative - Engineering
Location: Sandbach, Staffordshire
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Operative to join an established engineering company based in Sandbach, Staffordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 1 year’s experience working as a Press Operative within an engineering or manufacturing environment, looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.
The Role
As a Press Operative, you will be responsible for operating press machinery safely and efficiently, producing components to the required quality and specification.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Operating press machinery within an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Setting and operating machinery as required
- Loading and unloading materials and components
- Checking finished products for quality and accuracy
- Following engineering drawings and specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Meeting production targets and quality standards
The Candidate
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Press Operative
- Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience operating press machinery
- Good attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow engineering drawings and instructions
- Reliable and hardworking approach
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
