We are seeking an experienced and reliable Press Operator to join our production team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating press machinery, maintaining production quality and output, and ensuring work is completed to the required specifications and deadlines.
The role would suit an individual with previous experience operating industrial presses who takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining a safe, organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor press machinery in accordance with production requirements.
- Follow job specifications, drawings, work instructions and production schedules.
- Ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards and tolerances.
- Carry out routine checks and inspections during production.
- Identify and report defects, quality issues or machine problems promptly.
- Make appropriate adjustments to machinery to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Complete production records, quality documentation and other relevant paperwork accurately.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Work safely and comply with all company health and safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a Press Operator or in a similar manufacturing/production role.
- Experience operating industrial press machinery.
- Ability to read and understand production instructions, technical drawings or specifications.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work safely in a busy production environment.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
