Press Operator

Contract Temporary ongoing

Leamington Spa

Shifts: Rotating shifts, flexibility with working days and overtime

Early and Late shifts: A GBP 16.86 per hour
Days: A GBP 15.13 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Press Operator to join a well-established international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Press Operator to secure a temporary ongoing role.

The Press Operator Role

As a Press Operator, you will be operating and running a range of mechanical and hydraulic presses within the press shop. Responsibilities include:

  • Manufacturing components to a high standard
  • Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
  • Using engineering measuring equipment such as Verniers, callipers, or Micrometres
  • Maintaining machinery by cleaning it and making sure it is in working order, and checking and ordering materials needed
  • Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
  • Removing and cleaning finished parts ready for Production
  • Completing your own quality control checks
  • Completion of documentation
  • Keeping to tight deadlines and targets

The Ideal Press Operator

  • Previous experience working as a Press Operator
  • Experience operating mechanical or hydraulic Press or Brake machines
  • Setting experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can prioritise work and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision
  • Applicants will need to demonstrate attention to detail and reliability
  • Must be a self-motivated individual

Shifts

Rotating Weekly and Fortnightly shifts

Early and Late shifts:

  • 06.00-14.00 Monday to Thursday and 06.00-13.00 on Friday

Days:

  • 14.00-22.00 Monday to Thursday and 13.00-20.00 on Friday (20-minute break)

Shifts:

  • 39 hrs per week + possible overtime

Pay Rates

Early and Late shifts: A GBP 16.86 per hour
Days: A GBP 15.13 per hour
