The scale of Child Sexual Abuse in England and Wales is truly staggering. Children make up only 20% of the population but are the victims in 40% of all sexual offences. Its impact is devastating and long-lasting.
Safeline has been delivering effective Prevention and Early Intervention services to thousands of children and young people for over 15 years. The risks are growing and we need to respond. To help us successfully address the many challenges children and young people face, we want to strengthen our team by recruiting an experienced, motivated, coordinator to deliver meaningful support to the young people needed.
The Role
Job Title: Prevention and Early Intervention Children and Young People’s Coordinator
Reports to: Head of Prevention and Early Intervention Manager.
Salary: £27,500

Contract: Full-Time 37.5 hours per week, 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. (some evening work may be required).
Location: Hybrid role - office based in Warwick, covering Warwickshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Support vulnerable young people professionally and sensitively, helping them build knowledge, confidence and protection from abuse.
- Work with Prevention and Early Intervention colleagues and the wider Safeline team to protect young people from Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). Support each young person to develop their strengths, skills and interests and achieve positive outcomes.
- Gather statistical and observational evidence to demonstrate need, impact and value to clients, stakeholders and funders.
- Ensure staff and partners follow safeguarding, child protection, risk assessment and health and safety requirements.
- Delivery prevention and early interventions programmes, ensuring incidents are managed professionally and standards are maintained.
- Build effective relationships with schools, local authority early help teams, funders and other key partners.
- Work with the Early Intervention manager to strengthen user-led practice and develop evidence-based interventions.
- Identify personal development and training needs to maintain professional knowledge and performance. To attend and contribute to line management, annual appraisals and staff meetings.

Person Specification
- Strong commitment to protecting vulnerable young people from harm.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Experience teaching, motivating and supporting young people.
- Able to work confidentially, professionally and within clear boundaries.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding children, with confidence to report disclosures appropriately.
- Good analytical and IT skills.
- Driving licence and access to own transport is essential.
