Prevention Practitioner (Permanent) 2 roles
Overview
West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) is the second largest fire and rescue service in England, serving an area of 902km square and a population of some 3 million people.

The Prevention Team at Safeside have an exciting opportunity for a permanent 30-week role, under the leadership of the Education Support Officer and working with the Lead Prevention Practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include working to support visits from:
- children who attend Safeside (including those with additional needs) on Smart Choices and other programmes
- visitors from a range of educational and support settings
Plus:
- support the Safeside Operations Team with reception and welcome of visitors
- deliver, instruct, guide and facilitate groups of visitors as scheduled
- support groups and professional tours where appropriate.
Experience and skills
Essential
- knowledge or experience of working with children and young people
- able to communicate effectively
- work as part of a team
- deliver education in a group setting to learners of all abilities.
