Pricing Actuary | Bristol or Edinburgh | Hybrid

Oliver James are currently partnered with one of the biggest and most established financial services groups in the UK, who are looking for a Pricing Actuary to join their Actuarial Methodology team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business undergoing significant transformation, with a strong focus on evolving its pricing capabilities, technology, and way of working. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact across pricing strategy, modelling, and methodology.

The role:

  • Set and review pricing assumptions applying actuarial judgement and insight
  • Building insight across the products and propositions
  • Design and develop pricing models and solutions whilst enhancing existing models and methodologies
  • Partner with commercial and senior stakeholders to support on pricing decisions

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Actuary (will consider 1 or 2 papers outstanding)
  • Strong knowledge on Solvency II, Solvency UK, IFRS17, or Matching Adjustments
  • Confident to speak with senior stakeholders
  • Interest in AI/Automation
  • Coding skills are highly desirable (Python, R, Mo.Net preferred)
  • Annuity experience preferable
