Pricing Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite)
Salary: up to £80,000 DOE

We're working with a fast-growing UK insurance business that is investing heavily in pricing capability, data science, and analytics. This is an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join a high-performing pricing team and play a key role in shaping pricing strategy, developing advanced models, and driving commercial performance across multiple motor insurance products.

Working alongside experienced actuaries and data scientists, you'll contribute to business-critical decisions through advanced statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and pricing innovation.

What you will be doing as their Pricing Analyst:

  • Analyse pricing and insurance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop statistical and predictive models to support pricing decisions.
  • Support pricing and underwriting teams with data-driven insight.
  • Work with large datasets and translate analysis into commercial recommendations.
  • Support model development, testing and validation.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the wider data, pricing and underwriting teams.
  • Develop statistical and pricing models to improve risk cost predictions and profitability forecasting.
  • Identify opportunities for pricing optimisation, product growth, and improved customer outcomes.
  • Apply innovative analytical techniques and machine learning approaches to solve complex pricing challenges.

  • Strong Python and SQL skills.
  • Strong statistical and analytical ability, with experience with statistical modelling
  • Pricing experience, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Actuarial experience or progress towards actuarial exams would be highly relevant.
  • Motor insurance pricing experience is desirable.
  • Strong mathematics and statistic skills.
  • Communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative discipline is desirable.
