Primary Objectives
Supporting Pricing Leadership and the wider pricing team across the UK, US and EMEA region with all daily functions including:
- Supporting partners and lawyers with their decision-making on any aspects of pricing
- Assisting on formal responses to tenders and other opportunities, including tactical pricing support.
- Supporting the firm's global pricing approval process
- Undertake financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions - client and matter-based pricing
- Supporting the design, development and implementation of pricing self-service tools
- Proactive financial modelling and scenario analysis to support pricing, better understand expected costs or matter management decisions and presenting findings to stakeholders
- Build relationships of trust and respect within the firm in order to become a trusted adviser
- Support the Pricing Team to meet objectives and delivery of its global strategy
Primary Responsibilities
In conjunction with Pricing Leadership:
- Assisting the Pricing Team in working with clients to develop commercially focused solutions to pricing challenges
- Ongoing tactical pricing support for the business for RFP's and other opportunities
- Undertake financial modelling and scenario analysis to support informed decision making and explain/present results to all levels of seniority
- Generating client portfolio updates
- Supporting the pricing team in the development of financial models either for specific pricing scenarios or in the development of automated models for use within the business
- Support Partners and CRMs with client pricing negotiations through the provision of concise supporting data, recommendations and advice on negotiation strategy
- Execute the daily workflow for the firm's pricing approval process
- Help manage the pricing opportunity log, value trackers and Pricing Hub content
- Identify and highlight opportunities that would benefit or require senior support from the Pricing team
- Contribute to Pricing content to RFPs
- Contributing to long term behavioural change through Pricing coaching to ensure pricing best practice is a core competency of HSF Kramer lawyers

- Regarded as a trusted adviser within the UK/US and EMEA regions on pricing decisions and issues
- Feedback from key stakeholders
- On-going development of Pricing capability and understanding
- Follows instructions, meets deadlines and delivers high quality work product as required by the Senior Pricing Manager.
Skills / Experience
- Appropriate undergraduate/post graduate degree qualification (preferred but not a necessity)
- Understanding of law firm economics and fee models
- Experience of working in a financial role in a professional services environment, ideally in a Law firm. (preferred but not a necessity)
- A keen understanding of Alternative Fee Arrangements and pricing legislations. (preferred but not a necessity)
- Extremely numerate and attentive to detail, with the proven ability to convert complex/raw data into concise and actionable intelligence
- Able to build relationships and influence all levels of seniority
- Excellent skills across Microsoft products and services (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
