Build the models. Build the tools. Build your career.
We are looking for an ambitious Actuarial Analyst to join a growing commercial insurance business and help shape the future of data-driven underwriting. You'll gain hands-on experience in pricing, profitability analysis, and data analytics while developing tools and models that directly support real underwriting decisions.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to 18 months of experience who wants to combine a traditional actuarial career path with modern data and technology skills.
During your 6 months, you'll spend significant time working alongside experienced underwriters, learning how insurance risks are assessed, priced and managed in practice. This foundation will help you develop a deeper understanding of the industry before beginning your professional actuarial qualification journey.
What you'll be doing
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
