Pricing Development Manager
Salary: Up to £73,000 per annum
Location: Midlands – hybrid working
Contract: Permanent
Overview of the Pricing Development Manager role
A leading mutual organisation is looking for an experienced Pricing Development Manager to join its specialist Pricing team during a major transformation programme.
The successful candidate will lead a technical team responsible for designing, developing and deploying pricing algorithms into live environments. You will combine strong technical pricing expertise with people leadership, working closely with Pricing, Underwriting, IT and wider business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of the Pricing Development Manager will include
- Lead the design, development and deployment of pricing algorithms into live environments.
- Manage end-to-end delivery from development and testing through to production.
- Lead, coach and develop a specialist team of pricing developers.
- Review technical outputs and ensure high standards of quality, accuracy and governance.
- Manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams and deliver against deadlines.
- Work closely with Pricing, Underwriting, IT and wider business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing tools, processes and ways of working.
- Support pricing governance, audit requirements and wider transformation initiatives.

Required experience/qualifications of the Pricing Development Manager position will include
- Strong technical experience within a pricing development environment.
- Experience designing, developing and deploying pricing algorithms into live environments.
- Experience using RADAR or equivalent programming languages, alongside SQL or similar data tools.
- Strong knowledge of code review, testing, quality assurance and governance.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or developing less experienced colleagues.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement.
