We're proud to be part of STARK Building Materials UK and dedicated to providing top-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. We're a friendly and collaborative team, passionate about what we do and committed to doing it well.

We're searching for a Pricing Insights & Analytics Lead to join us on a permanent basis at our Binley, Coventry HQ. The purpose of this role is to lead the identification, assessment and delivery of pricing opportunities across STARK UK, using internal pricing data, margin insight and external market understanding to challenge performance and support better commercial decisions. The role will initially focus on establishing reliable pricing dashboards, reporting and visibility, but its longer-term purpose is to move beyond reporting and proactively highlight where pricing action can improve margin, competitiveness and customer value across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing Opportunity Identification: Proactively analyse pricing, margin, discounting, customer and product data to identify opportunities for commercial improvement, stronger margin performance and better pricing consistency.
  • Market & Industry Insight: Build a strong understanding of external market conditions, competitor activity and wider builders merchants industry trends to inform where pricing movement, risk or opportunity may exist.
  • Commercial Challenge & Action Planning: Work with pricing, commercial, category and branch teams to challenge current pricing decisions, test opportunities and turn insight into clear actions.
  • Risk & Concern Highlighting: Identify areas of pricing leakage, inconsistency, underperformance or market misalignment, ensuring concerns are visible early and supported by clear evidence.
  • Initial Dashboard & Reporting Set-Up: Establish the core dashboards and/or reports needed to create visibility and a consistent starting point for decision-making. Once embedded, these outputs should support ongoing opportunity identification rather than become the main focus of the role.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Support the improvement of pricing data quality, governance and consistency, ensuring decisions are based on trusted and well-structured data.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Pricing, Commercial, Category, Finance, MI/BI and Data teams to align insight, reporting and action planning.
  • Opportunity Tracking: Track identified pricing opportunities from insight through to action, helping the business understand expected impact, progress and outcomes.
  • Adoption & Enablement: Drive the use of pricing insight across commercial teams, helping colleagues understand trends, risks and opportunities in a simple and actionable way.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
