Pricing Manager

Reporting To: Head of Merchandising

Location: London (Hybrid)

Role Purpose

At The Outnet, our customers expect an exceptional luxury shopping experience from the moment they log into our site to every time they wear their purchased items, alongside a highly competitive pricing architecture tailored to the region they are purchasing in.

The Pricing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end pricing process for The Outnet, driving pricing strategy, process optimization and commercial decision-making across a global business.

You will lead pricing transformation initiatives, partner with key stakeholders to improve margin and profitability, and influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights.

Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Commercial, and Site teams, the Pricing Manager role requires an experienced Pricing specialist with experience within a global luxury retail or ecommerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Process Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end pricing process, ensuring accurate and scalable pricing execution across global markets.
  • Lead strategic pricing initiatives including pricing structure optimization, regional pricing strategies, FX impact, payment currencies, tax & duty requirements and market pricing reviews.
  • Support pricing system migrations and drive process improvements, automation and enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with Technology teams on pricing roadmap development and future capabilities.
  • Identify and resolve pricing data and process gaps impacting commercial performance.

Promotional & Clearance Strategy

  • Own the promotional and clearance calendar in partnership with Merchandising, Commercial and Site Trading teams.
  • Analyse promotional and clearance performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve sell-through, revenue and margin outcomes.
  • Influence promotional strategy, stock selection, discount approach and future ways of working through data-driven recommendations.
  • Lead clearance strategy by region, balancing stock objectives with margin targets and commercial priorities.

Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership

  • Build strong relationships across Commercial, Finance, Merchandising, Site Trading, Marketing and Technology teams, influencing decisions and driving commercial outcomes.
  • Challenge existing approaches and identify opportunities for pricing-led improvements across the business.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Pricing team, consisting of a Pricing Analyst and Junior Pricing Analyst.
  • Set team priorities, embed best practices and support the continuous development of the pricing functions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in pricing, commercial strategy, revenue management or a similar analytical role.
  • Proven ability to deliver commercial results through pricing strategy and data-driven decision making.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manage, analyse and interpret large and complex datasets to identify insights and drive commercial recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of profitability drivers, margin optimisation and financial performance analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading process improvements, system changes or transformation project.
  • Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, challenge thinking and drive change.
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience leading and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
